How do I register for a competition?
Sign in to your GDG Medan account, complete your profile, then open the competition page and follow Register. Each competition has its own free registration form and may unlock additional submission stages later in the roadshow.
Do I need a team before I register?
Most competitions expect a ready team at registration time. Lomba Balap Typing is solo (team size = 1). If you still need teammates, use Find a Team to browse or post openings — but that is separate from competition registration.
Does posting on Find a Team count as registration?
No. Matchmaking helps you connect with individuals or open team slots. You must still register separately on the competition page once your team is ready.
How does my registration status work?
After you submit, organizers review your entry. Status may move through registered, under review, qualified, rejected, waitlisted, or completed. When a next stage unlocks (for example abstract → materials), you submit from My competitions in your dashboard.
Who should I contact for help?
Use general roadshow questions for hub logistics, competition-specific questions for rules and deadlines on a given slug, registration support for form or profile issues, and sponsorship inquiries for partner opportunities.
Which competitions open in August?
August Merdeka Coding Fest opens Tarik Data, Lomba Balap Typing, and Estafet VibesCode for registration. September kickoff competitions stay not yet open until their milestone unless organizers announce otherwise.
